Privacy policy
How we collect, use and look after your information.
This policy explains how Mellbeing collects, uses and protects your information when you visit mellbeing.com, sign in at app.mellbeing.com or book a session with us. Mellbeing is run by [Firm name], a partnership firm in India ("Mellbeing", "we", "us"). By using our website or booking a session, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
Contact details: your name, email address and phone number.
Booking and payment details: the service and level of care you choose, your session times, packages, invoices and payment status.
What you choose to tell us: for example, what brings you to Mellbeing when you book, or a message you send our team.
Age confirmation: that you're 18 or older, or a parent or guardian booking for someone under 18.
Technical information: your IP address, device and browser, the pages you visit and how you found our website.
Payments are processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. We don't see or store your full card, UPI or bank details.
Some of this, such as anything about your mental health, is sensitive. We collect it only to provide our services, and we handle it with extra care.
How we use it
To book and run your sessions, and connect you with a counsellor.
To take payments, send invoices and process refunds.
To send booking confirmations, reminders and other messages about your sessions.
To answer your questions and requests.
To keep Mellbeing safe and prevent fraud or misuse.
To understand how our website is used and improve our services.
To send you occasional updates about Mellbeing. You can unsubscribe at any time.
To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We don't sell your personal information.
Your sessions
Sessions take place by video on Google Meet. Mellbeing doesn't record them. What you talk about with your counsellor stays between the two of you: our team doesn't see it.
What you tell us when you book is seen only by your counsellor. If you switch counsellors, your new counsellor sees your previous counsellor's short summary only if you agree.
A counsellor may need to act if they believe someone is at serious risk of harm, or if the law requires it.
Who we share it with
Your counsellor, so they can prepare for and run your session.
Service providers who help us run Mellbeing, such as hosting, payments, video, email and analytics. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety or rights.
A new owner, if Mellbeing's business is reorganised, merged or sold. Your information stays protected by this policy.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar tools to keep our website working and to remember your choices. With your permission, we also use Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to understand how people find and use our website and to measure our ads. Google may combine this with information from Google accounts, for reports on our visitors' age range and interests, and across devices.
These tools never receive your name, contact details or the service you book. You can change your choice at any time through "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page, or by blocking cookies in your browser.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it to provide our services and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. After that, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.
Keeping it safe
We use reasonable security practices, including encryption and access controls, to protect your information. Only people who need it for their work can see it. No system is completely secure, but if a breach affects you, we'll let you know as the law requires.
Children
Mellbeing is meant for adults. A parent or legal guardian may book a session for someone under 18. When they do, they agree to this policy on that person's behalf.
Other websites
Our website may link to other websites. They have their own privacy policies, and we're not responsible for them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
